After speaking with these companies, it's clear that the essentials for a startup office are: Writable walls, an open, lofty and well lit space, plush sofas for lounging, cleverly named meeting rooms, custom art, a homage to the city, DIY projects and of course, a kegerator. Quirky PR Head Tiffany Markofsky describes the space as a "modern-day invention factory — Willy Wonka meets the Jetsons," and that couldn't be more true.
